Martha and Student

do you Need help?

We want you to be successful!  Becoming a successful student is a lifelong process and we want to help you cultivate the skills, values and attitudes needed to become a capable student.

When you decide to attend...

As a new student to COS, we want to make certain you understand how to successfully navigate college.  We offer SOAR (Siskiyou Orientation, Advising and Registration) sessions that will provide you with the information to begin your college career.

As you work on funding your education...

All students who are planning to earn a certificate, degree or transfer should complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Aid) and determine if they qualify for financial aid.  Most of our students do.  For more information, visit the Financial Aid webpages.

In identifying a place to live...

You should consider on-campus housing.  Living in the Student Lodges provide an excellent campus experience.

If you need help with your classes...

The Academic Success Center has tutoring, computer, math, reading, writing and library services to help you individually with your coursework.

As you need guidance in determining your career...

Be sure you stop by Eddy Hall and talk to one of the great counselors or advisors who can provide you with resources to help you determine what you want to do with your college education.
