Blooms: June to July

Leaves: Leafless

Height: 9 to 20 inches

Found: In shade of coniferous forests

Tidbits: The Phantom Orchid is a saprophyte (a plant that feeds on dead material). It rests many years without displaying a stem. This orchid is a rare plant.
