Growth Form: Small shrub with very leafy branches.
Flower: Yellow, 5 petals, 5 sepals, 5 bractlets alternating with the sepals
Blooms: June to August
Leaves: Pinnately compound, 1/2" to 1 1/4" long, hairy and grey on the lower side.
Fruit: Achene with long straight hairs
Stem: Reddish-brown shreddy bark
Height: Less than 3 1/2" feet tall.
Found: Meadows, rocky habitats of mid-to upper elevations of Klamath, Cascade, and Sierra Nevada mountain ranges
Tidbits: Adapts well to cultivation.
