COLLEGE OF THE SISKIYOUS

ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE

MENTORING PROGRAM

The ADJ Program at the college offers job placement assistance through participation with agency personnel who can help the student through the hiring process. This process may include such things as, oral board preparation, written test review and personal tours of the particular facility.

The guidelines and conditions for participation are as follows:

  1. Participation is totally voluntary
  2. All students must make their own arrangements to meet with their respective mentor.
  3. The program covers ALL areas of the criminal justice system, not just for those who wish to become a police officer.
  4. If you choose to participate in the program, you will be assigned a mentor from one of the participating agencies in your chosen field.
  5. This mentor can asist you in the hiring process
  6. There may be more than one person assigned to a particular mentor, so be considerate of their time.
  7. Once assigned, the mentor will be contacted by me first to ensure he/she will still be available. I will then contact you and advise you of their phone number and other pertinent information. It will then be YOUR responsibility to contact him/her to arrange for th process to begin.
  8. The process may last as long as needed, or may be terminated by either the student or the mentor.
