Quick Reference

HOLD
To put a call on hold while you answer another call or perform another task, press Hold (Red light next to Hold blinks). If you put the handset back in the cradle, just pick it up to return to the call. If you set the handset down elsewhere, you need to press the switchhook to return to the call.

To answer a new call while active on another,
1. Press Hold (Red light next to Hold blinks, and first call is put on hold).
2. Press and then release the switchhook (this will connect you to the incoming call).
3. Press and then release the switchhook again to return to the held call.
 
TRANSFER
To send the present call to another extension,
1. Press Transfer (Current call is put on hold, and the red light next to Hold blinks). 
2. Dial the extension to which the call is to be transferred. 
3. (Optional) Remain on the line and announce the call. 
4. Press Transfer again (Call is sent  to the dialed extension or number). 
5. Hang up.
 
CONFERENCE
To add another party to a call
(for a total of six parties),
1. Press Conference (Current call is put on hold). 
2. Dial the extension or outside number of the new party and wait for an answer. 
3. When you want to add the new person, press Conf again (All parties are now connected). 
4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for additional conference connections.

To add a call you have put on hold to another call you are connected to,
1. Press Conference (Red light next to Hold Blinks).  
2. Press and then release the switchhook. 
3. Press Conference again (All parties are now connected).

CALL PARK
To park a call for pickup elsewhere,

1. Press Transfer.
2. Dial the Call Park code (*6).
3. Press Transfer.
4. Hang up.

To retrieve, dial the Answer Back code (#6) and the extension where the call is parked (the phone extension from which the call originated).

CALL FORWARDING
To forward incoming calls to another extension,

1. Dial the Call Forwarding code (*2).
2. Dial extension where calls are to be forwarded.
3. Hang up.

To cancel call forwarding,
1. Dial Call Forwarding Cancel code (#2).
2. Hang up.

CALL PICKUP
To pickup another line ringing within your call pickup group,
dial Call Pickup code (*7).

LAST NUMBER DIALED
To redial,
press Redial button.

SEND ALL CALLS
To send calls more quickly to voice mail
, dial Send All Calls code (*3) and hang up.  Use this when you are on vacation or do not want to be disturbed.  Callers to your number will not have to wait through several rings before voicemail picks up. When this feature is activated, you may hear a "half-ring," but will probably not be able to pick up a call before the it goes to voice mail.
To cancel and return calls to normal mode, dial Send Calls Cancel code (#3) and hang up.

PROGRAM A PERSONAL LIST ITEM ("SPEED DIAL")
To program an often-used number for quicker dialing
1. Call Technology Services (x5222) and ask Jill to enable your phone number for speed dials.
2. When this has been completed, press *01 plus the number button, 1-0 (you cannot use * or #) that you want to program the speed dial to.
3. Enter the telephone number or other series of keystrokes you wish to program (as you would dial it, including the 9 at the beginning.  Don't include your long distance pass code!)
4. Press # to finish.
5. To use, dial #7 plus the number button programmed. Enter your pass code, if needed, for a long distance call.
