Accessibility Guidelines

Recognizing the responsibility and benefits of making its online pages accessible to people with disabilities, College of the Siskiyous requires that all new online pages comply with Section 508 Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards and with California Government Code - 11135. Further, although we are only mandated to comply with the minimum requirement for technical accessibility, additional strategies and solutions are encouraged to help provide maximum usability and accessibility by all students.

Any pages created previously to the adoption of the COS Accessibility Guidelines should become compliant as soon as possible.  A general overview of accessibility and Section 508 guidelines, as well as informational links on the topic, can be found on the TLC Accessibility Links page.
