2008 Summer Program

Some of the academic classes included this year are: English Literature, Photography, Math, Conversational Spanish, Earth Science, Art, Health & Fitness, and Leadership. Activities while we are staying at a local facility will include dances, basketball and soccer tournaments, circuit weight training, and swimming. | This year will include trips to Turtle Bay in Redding, Lake Siskiyou for swimming and BBQ and the college tour to CSU Stanislaus, University of Pacific, UC Berkeley, San Jose State, and Santa Clara University. Students will be able to camp out at Santa Cruz and experience the famous Boardwalk. Students will also be able to experience a four-year university setting at 4 Universities |  |

At COS Upward Bound, an average of 45 high school students attend the Summer Program. Again, there is NO COST to the participant. Credit earned during the Summer Program may be applied toward a student's high school transcripts. Participation in Upward Bound is very favorable on scholarship and college applications.
