In accordance with Upward Bound's purpose of helping to bridge the gap between high school and college and to open career opportunities we provide students with the support they need to get there.

COS Upward Bound staff all meet together monthly, and once a month we also bring students together to workshop, and to discuss students' academic survival issues. Along with visits to prospective colleges, we track students' progress and provide them with academic and general support for four years, year-round, and assist their transition into college.

At COS, we also engage students in widening cultural experiences, such as field trips to the opera, theater, and a variety of outdoors events that rural Siskiyou County in northern California offers, providing students with environmentally diverse, unique perspectives.
