College of the Siskiyous Fall 2022 Production - Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead

Rosengrantz & Guidenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard. Directed by Kitty Keim. Auditions: Sept 7th & 8th 2022 from 5-7 pm.

In the fall of 2022 the Performing Arts Department at College of the Siskiyous will present Tom Stoppard's comedic tour-de-force "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead". This is a fabulously inventive tale of Hamlet as told from the worm's-eye view of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters in Shakespeare's play. In Tom Stoppard's best-known work, this Shakespearean Laurel and Hardy finally get a chance to take the lead role, but do so in a world with no rules except one: they are destined to die. Trapped in a universe where the flip of a coin always comes up heads and pirates can pop-up anytime, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern engage in a battle of wits to try to escape their fate and make sense of a senseless world. where reality and illusion intermix, and where fate leads our two heroes to a tragic but inevitable end.

We are seeking students and community members to join us in bringing this show to life on the COS stage and will be holding auditions at the Ford Theatre on September 7 and 8 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Casting will be gender and race blind. Please contact the director Kitty Keim for any details or to choose your audition time slot. Email:
