The #CaliforniansForAll College Corps will help create debt-free pathways to college while engaging students across the state in solving problems in their communities.
This first of its kind initiative is being launched in partnership with California colleges and universities. College of the Siskiyous is one of 22 community colleges in the state to be selected to offer this program. Over the next two years, College of the Siskiyous will deploy fellows across the county to work with K-12 schools and after school programs to build healthier and more equitable communities across California. For the first time, we are proud to include AB 540 eligible Dreamers in a state service program.
Beginning August 2022, Fellows will work with K-12 schools, food banks/pantries, or climate action organizations to build healthier and more equitable communities across California. Fellows at College of the Siskiyous will be placed in K-12 schools or after school programs within Siskiyou County to serve and carry out essential duties and services, such as tutoring, mentoring, sports coaching, and/or assisting in the classroom or with food security.
