Welcome to the College of the Siskiyous Library!

The Library is here to help you throughout your time at COS.
Check out our online materials or visit the library for a comfortable quiet place to study.

The Library's hours are Monday - Thursday 8 am - 5 pm and Friday 8 am - 2 pm.

New Trial The Library has a trial subscription for a new site on opposing view points. This ProQuest site called SIRS Issues Researcher. It is a highly-acclaimed student reference database containing thousands of full-text articles exploring social, scientific, health, historic, business, economic, political and global issues from 1,500 domestic and international publications. Included is SIRS Knowledge Source which is a comprehensive database portal that is comprised of several distinct reference databases including SIRS Researcher, SIRS Government Reporter, SIRS Renaissance, and SIRS WebSelect. Check these out and leave us a message telling us what you like or don't like about this site. Thank you!

The Library will be Closed, Tuesday, November 11th for Veterans Day. We will reopen Wednesday, November 12th at 8:00 am.

The Library will be Closed, Thursday and Friday, November 27th & 28th for Thanksgiving. We will reopen Monday, December 1st at 8:00 am.

Students, remember to request your Library Card!

The Catalog allows you to search the Library’s collection of books and media items, as well as search for ebooks, full text articles and streaming video. To use ebooks, online articles or streaming video from off-campus, you will need your library card barcode number and account password.

Stop by the Library for one-on-one help, visit our How Do I…? page, or attend one of the Library’s Student Success Seminars being offered throughout the semester. Look for “Library Research Basics” and “Tips & Tricks for Database Searching” on the schedule.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the College of the Siskiyous Library to meet the learning needs of students and the learning and instructional needs of faculty and staff by providing access to information and knowledge. The Library provides the best possible collections, support services, training, technology and facilities to assist students and staff in achieving success in accordance with the overall mission of the College. In addition, the Library works cooperatively with local public and school libraries and other organizations to serve the information and cultural needs of the community.
