Student Practice Instructions (coming soon)
Priority application deadline is April 1, 2019
On the night of Commencement, May 17, 2019, graduation candidates will line up at 5:30 pm sharp on the sidewalk immediately north of the gym and march into the gym promptly at 6:00 pm. The Commencement ceremony will take approximately one hour.
All students who are completing graduation requirements must file a "Petition to Graduate" available online or at the Counseling and Student Support Programs Office. It is recommended that you petition after registering for your spring classes. The earlier the better! (Priority Deadline for submission is April 1). Late petitions will result in your name not being listed in the program.
Students interested in becoming the student graduation speaker must apply and audition before a panel comprised of staff, students, and faculty. The Student Speaker Application deadline is to be determined. Applications will be available soon in the Student Services Office.
All students participating in Commencement must wear a cap and gown. Regalia will be available in the Campus Gift and Bookstore in late April. Prices will be available in early April. The package includes a cap, gown, tassel, and diploma cover. Caps and gowns should be picked up no later than 4:00 pm on the Monday before graduation. You will receive the diploma cover at Commencement.
